Waymo Launches Referral Program in Los Angeles

For quite a while now, Waymo has been using a referral system in Phoenix. You get 10 codes per month (if you're a regular rider) to hand out to your friends and family. When your code is used and a first ride is completed, you get a $10 coupon to use on your own rides, and they get $10 off their first.

Today, we recieved an email on our personal account that this promotion is now also running in Los Angeles!

We are aware that this promotion is only rolling out to a few accounts. Even if you're a regular rider, you might not see this on your account yet. As it has been with other features and promotions, we expect a gradual rollout over the coming weeks.

Currently, you can refer up to ten people each month, for a total of $100 of discounts. However, it's worth noting that you can't stack the discounts - you can only recieve a maximum of $10 off per ride. This includes multistop trips.

This is a solid sign that Waymo is looking to ramp up their operations in LA, and that they have sufficient cars on the road to be able to offer this kind of promotion.
